‘A Cambodia Journey’ steps off from Lowell
LOWELL — A two-week cross-country tour meant to raise money and bring awareness to children forced to work in Cambodia is beginning and ending in the nation’s two biggest Cambodian communities.
The tour, all by car, kicked off last week in Lowell and will end in Long Beach, Calif., which is said to have the largest Cambodian population in the United States. In between, the three people making the trip will stop at Cambodian-owned businesses, college campuses and landmarks.
